Fancy going for an easy walk ie 2km of flat tarmac away from the noise of the traffic and buggy friendly ??? No problem!!!! Just park your car in the ZAE Portes de la Dordogne (Next to "Piscine Desjoyaux"). There is no signpost for this footpath (Green Lane : https://goo.gl/4ddUhA), just go left towards Creysse.
Away from the noisy traffic, it's only you and the river Dordogne. Perfect for all ages, try it, you won't regret it!
The eco-responsible orchard, "Vergers de la Californie" is welcoming customers on the farm to pick fresh, juicy apples (Canada, Golden, Chantecler..) and yummy blueberries from 1€ to 3€ per kg!

Yesterday afternoon, we discovered our new favorite picnic spot near Bergerac. It's in the village of Mouleydier, in a quiet location away from the traffic… so secret that there is no signpost! It's a wonderfully relaxing place with the Dordogne at your feet!!
Location: after Avenue des Martyrs de la Resistance in Mouleydier and just before the bridge, take the small street between the Spar Shop and a pizza take away place.
Mouleydier is located 20km (25min drive) from our rental in Beaumont du Perigord and 10km from Bergerac (15min drive).
The town of Bergerac, the local newspaper "Le Democrate Indépendent" and the Bergerac and Duras Wines invite you to the 1st edition of La Vigne En Ville ("The Vine In Town"). It's a two-day feast (21-22/09/18) celebrating the arrival of the grapes and the autumn.

If you're in Brantome during a hot summer day, don't forget to pay a visit to the best homemade ice cream place to die for: "Le Glacier de Brantome" (on the main road a couple of doors before the talented glass blower: Eric Simonin).
The shop is a natural cave in a cliff wall. A large range of colours, tastes and flavours, (more than 50 I believe) many unusual like violet and rose for example….But if ice cream is not your thing, you can also get other treats like crepes, waffles…
We found this place by accident one day and since then, this is our go to place when we get an ice cream craving!
Casual, very friendly, pop in, you won't regret it!
Following my previous article (https://goo.gl/R3ppoz) about the quaint village of Saint Avit Senieur, I could not pass on the opportunity to mention our favorite restaurant, right next to its UNESCO World Heritage Site Church: La Table de Léo
If you want to go for something other than the standard foie gras and duck menu, give this place a try, you won't regret it!
