The town of Bergerac, the local newspaper "Le Democrate Indépendent" and the Bergerac and Duras Wines invite you to the 1st edition of La Vigne En Ville ("The Vine In Town"). It's a two-day feast (21-22/09/18) celebrating the arrival of the grapes and the autumn.
Exhibitions, concerts, parades, artisan and local products tastings and various animations all spread around the town of Bergerac. Amongst the festivities are:
Friday 21st – Big Harvest Banquet: (from 20h30 to 22h30 in Resistance St). Open-air banquet. No reservation needed. Enjoy duck confit, sautées potatoes, peanut-chocolat pie, crepes… …
Saturday 22th – Happy Tour: (from 7 to 9pm): special rate to enjoy local wine and food in the restaurant/bars of the town centre, – Enology workshop: 1h30 to learn and sample Bergerac wines Reservation by the 19/09 on www.ledemocratedebergerac.fr. (from 11h15 to 12h45) – Barrel races: (from 14h to 17h in the Resistance St) Team of 2 contestants dressed up as Bacchus and Bacchante (one in a barrel the other pushing it), race against other teams. – Concerts ….
Nighttime arrives earlier, temperatures begin to drop and blue skies are replaced slowly by grey clouds and thunder as we move closer to the Autumn! I love this time of the year! This season is perfect for taking beautiful scenic photos and spending time outdoors!
