There are many coffee shops around the Dordogne, but the best one is in Monpazier, 15mins drive from our rental in Beaumont du Perigord, it's called Café Ecureuil!
Reasonably priced establishment where the coffee is out of this world and the service is fast and friendly. Cookies, cakes… everything is homemade and ingredients are organic and sourced locally when possible (milk, apple juice….). Coffee lovers will be deglighted to taste the Rwandan coffee beans used at the moment: sweet, deep, buttery chocolate flavor… this cup of coffee will send you home buzzing and hooked!
And if you want to bring some home, you can buy the beans (6,50€ for 250gr).

Do you have a sweet tooth like me? Well, if it is the case, you'll be thrilled to hear that there is a place near Bergerac where you can get your fix!
From my own experience it's quite impossible to find a Patisserie/Boulangerie (Pastry Shop/Bakery) good at both. Usually they can be brillant only at one of the 2 of them (pastries or bakery)… Well, I was proved wrong last week when we went for a walk from Creysse to Mouleydier (more infos: https://goo.gl/mKzYBm )!!!
La Gloire de Mon Père is THE place where you can get the best baguettes AND the best cakes for a special celebration or just a little treat for yourself!!!! Bonus: you can grab a table and treat yourself to a cup of coffee with one their oh so yummy pastries before going for a walk along the river Dordogne!
